Patch already gone through, think just some bug fixes and more cosmetics in the store. Fingers crossed for Medusa next week.

The small patch that came out last night added EU West and EU East! Less Russians now maybe?

I was kind of happy Dota 2 didn't implement Pseudo Random Distribution. In Dota 1, if you played a hero with crit or bash and didn't bash or crit for a prolonged time, the chances were that on your next attack you would.

easy example: say you are jungling with jugg for some extra gold and don't get a crit in say 7 attacks. PRD implies that your next attack has higher chance of critting than the stated one due to you not criting for a prolonged period (say +30% on top of your normal chance). You can then gank somewhere and be pretty certain you will crit on your first hit.

    *random numbers used*

I wonder what motivated the change?

edit: of the random chance thing that is.

New Broodmother looks much, much better.

    And scarier.

You just get more consistent procs. IIRC there was a calculation years ago about this on the playdota forums (dota 1 forums) where some guy had calculated the actual % of you getting a proc (say you have 25% to stun as Void, so in a game where you hit 1000 times you should stun in 250 of them). It turned out that the numbers differed a lot when using the true random distribution - there were more games with less than 20% actual stuns and more than 30% actual stuns than between 20% and 30% (the games with less than 20% were way more btw). So in a sense it makes heroes like Slardar and PA more reliable (it makes all heroes more reliable but you don't pick Void for his stun or Jugg for his crit - you pick PA solely because of her crit)

Yeah I can see from a balance perspective, it makes things a lot more consistent.

Medusa might be out next week, although I think they're starting to slow down and stagger heroes so that they can get a few multiple hero patches in, like Bristlebacks textures just came out of now where whilst troll warlord and shredder's are still basic.

I'm really looking forward to playing the heroes I didn't try in Dota 1 due to me getting bored and annoyed at the WC3 engine (Shredder, Legion Commander, Ember Spirit, Arc Warden, Skywrath Mage and Winter Wyvern)

People get Mjollnir on Void as a replacement of Battlefury, not MoM... You need an item that increases your farm and since BF does nothing on void apart from damage which is not what he needs really people opted to go for Mjollnir - damage, atk spd and a farm mechanism. You can still get a MoM after although it's a crap item on Void anyway (unless you have something like a BKB but people outside the chrono will still 3 shot you).
